    Panoramic of Inmigration

The survey reveals that 27% of the immigrants living in Basque Country feel discriminated. Natives considering that migrants are moderately or strongly discriminated amount to 34.2%. It is interesting to notice that natives are more aware of ethnic and racial discrimination than migrants themselves. A possible explanation for this difference may lie in the fact that migrants, according to their experiences in their countries of origin, may consider as non-discriminatory certain attitudes that in the European Union are clearly judged as discriminatory. In this survey, migrants state having particular difficulties in getting a job (65.2%) and renting a flat (56.2%).
