Qualitative Info

According to a governmental report (based on a study published as an Annex to the Social Inclusion National Strategy), as a result of several factors, like extremly poor living conditions, poor nutrition, difficulties in access to the healthcare system, etc.,  on the average, the members of the Roma population die ten years younger than members of the non-Roma population. It also has to be mentioned that infant mortality rates (and also the proportion of low-weight newborns) are two times higher among Roma than the majority population's average.
