Qualitative Info

 

As a study indicated, 66.3% of the Roma above the age of 19 are chronically ill. 16.1% of them has more than one disease and 23% suffers from three or more diseases. The prevalence rates of the 20 most common medical illnesses are two times higher among Roma. Diseases significantly frequent among Roma population:
- cancer (2x)
- asthma, gastrointestinal diseases (5x)
- infectious pulmonologycal diseases, iron deficiency anomia, visual impairment (10x). [1]
