Qualitative Info

As part of the qualification of police personnel as well as in follow-up trainings, human rights, fundamental rights as they are guaranteed in the German constitution as well as the prohibition of discrimination are taught. In addition, the police personnel receive situational trainings that are supposed to sensitise them for acting free of prejudices or discriminating behaviour. However, the Fourth Report on Germany by the European Commission against Racism and Intolerance (ECRI) recommends that efforts to provide anti-discriminatory training for the police should be intensified.
