On the 28th of July 2010 French authorities announced the dismantling of 300 illegal encampments. Following this plan 441 illegal encampments (most of them were Roma encampments) had been dismantled since the beginning of August. Roma migrants are today a particularly vulnerable group amongst French society, exposed to the danger of violation of their most fundamental rights, primarily in the housing field. |
