In ECRI's third report on Denmark, the Committee recommended that Denmark implement the Act on Equal Treatment more actively. ECRI strongly recommended that Denmark take a more proactive role in ensuring the implementation of the Act on Ethnic Equal Treatment by, inter alia, ensuring that potential victims of discrimination are also aware of its existence and of the mechanisms for invoking it before the courts. ECRI expressed concern about the fact that very few cases have been brought to court under the Act on Ethnic Equal Treatment. |
