Migrants cannot run for the parliamentary elections and elections for President. Under the Election Code, EU citizens of at least 21 years, who have no citizenship of a third country, with residence of at least six months in an EU country can run for the EU Parliament. EU citizens of at least 18 years, who have no citizenship of a third country, with residence of at least six months in the respective municipality can run at the local elections. |
