There are numerous strategic documents on integration, the most general of these being the ‘National Strategy of the Republic of Bulgaria on Roma Integration 2012 - 2020’ together with the action plan for its implementation. Among the other strategic documents are ‘National program for improving the housing conditions of Roma in Bulgaria 2005-2015’, ‘National Child Strategy 2008-2018’, ‘Strategy for Educational Integration of Children and Pupils from Ethnic Minorities’ of 2010, ‘Healthcare Strategy for Disadvantaged Members of Ethnic Minorities’ of 2010, ‘National Strategy on Migration, Asylum and Integration (2011-2020)’ Bulgaria is also a party at the Decade of Roma Inclusion - an initiative of nine Central and Southeastern European countries to improve the socio-economic status and social inclusion of the Roma minority across the region launched in 2005. |
