25  cases in 2010 at the equality body - National Council for Combating Discrimination

Qualitative Info

Only the NCCD (equality body - National Council for Combating Discrimination) reports on the number of cases regarding discrimination. Judicial statistics do not have indicators regarding the number of cases of discrimination.

In 2010, the NCCD reports finding 25 cases of ethnic discrimination. Out of these, only 1 case was sanctioned with an administrative fine of RON600 (EUR139), 14 cases with a written warning and in 9 cases a recommendation was issued by the NCCD.

The ground is not correlated with the field of life where discrimination occured (eg. employment, health, etc...)
