The total number of foreign population in the district of Lisbon was 188,259, according the Portuguese Report of Immigration, Frontiers and Asylum - 2011 published on June 2012 by the Serviço de Estrangeiros e Fronteiras (SEF) (Aliens and Borders Service) [3].

The main groups of foreign nationalities are from Brazil (51,645), Cape-Vert (27,287), Romania (14,454), Angola (14,063), Guinea Bissau (13,783) and Ukraine (13,005) [4].

According to the Portuguese Census 2011 final results, presented on November 2012, the Lisbon region has more than half of foreign residents in Portugal (51,6%) [1 & 2].
