Qualitative Info |
There is no evidence of the police violence against migrants/minorities in custody, however, some immigrants signalled that they were mistreated by the police because of their ethnicity. There is the case of a migrant from Chechnya (who obtained international protection and resides in Poland legally). He was a witness in the case of his friend but was unlawfully detained by the police and humiliated due to his nationality, together with two other Chechens. One of them claimed he was beaten and insulted by the policeman. The results of an investigation has not yet supported the allegations of the foreigner. |
