According to the report drafted by the General Prosecutor’s Office, courts issued 30 verdicts in cases involving racism in 2010: 23 convictions, 4 conditional dismissals, in one case, some defendants were convicted (3 persons), others acquitted (1 person), in one case the court acquitted the accused, in one case the court dismissed the proceedings in the absence of evidence indicating an offense, however in this case the ruling was appealed by the prosecution.

According to the report drafted by the General Prosecutor’s Office, courts issued 22 verdicts in cases involving racism in first six months of 2012: 12 convictions, 4 conditional dismissals, 4 verdicts discharging the accused, in one case the court dismissed the proceedings because of the insignificant social harmfulness of an act and in one case the court dismissed the proceedings due to lack of the characteristics of the illicit act.
