    Research of the Rights of Migrants in Bulgaria

The report studies the human rights of the migrants in Bulgaria. One of its main objectives is to establish the degree of harmonisation of the Bulgarian legislation and institutional practices, seen through the eyes of the main actors in the migration process, with international human rights standards and instruments. The study is based on interviews with actors of the main migrant groups in Bulgaria and it aims at filling the data gap on this issue in Bulgaria. It provides statistical and demographic data on the migrants in Bulgaria and their perspective on how their human rights are observed in the main areas of labour market, housing and education. The paper suggest the authors’ conclusions and recommendations toward the work of the state institutions.
