A revealing video that went public shows the beating of a man, probably with immigrant background, by police motorcycle officers and men in civilian clothes. According to the youtube user who uploaded the video, the incident took place in late January 2012 on Ameriki Square (Athens centre) and concerned a foreigner who was beaten during a control procedure by policemen and men in civilian clothes. 

An administrative investigation was ordered by the Police headquarters on the incident revealed by this video. 

The Police made the following announcement: "In regards to this evening upload of audiovisual material (video) in various electronic media that concerns the blameworthy action of police staff during the control and arrest procedure of an individual, it is announced that the Police headquarters ordered an admiistrative investigation" [1].
