The LICRA (International League against Racism and Anti-Semitism – Ligue international contre le racism et l’antisémitisme), joined by SOS Racisme, seized the Public Prosecutor Services in September 2010 for “incentive to racial hate”, after the diffusion of an islamophobic video on Internet. The video, entitled “Operation Bordeaux pig”, showed a man burying a pig on the site of the future mosque of Bordeaux (it was easy to identify the wasteland given by the City of Bordeaux to the Muslim Association of Gironde). The video had been viewed more than 3.000 times.

The LICRA and SOS Racisme considered that this video was pure provocation; it was diffused during the period of Ramadan and at the time of the Aïd Fitr festival with the aim to offend the Muslim population.
