On Sunday 7 March 2010, in Villeurbanne (Rhône) 70 people, members of an extreme-right organisation, demonstrated in an "halal" fast-food. They wore mask of pig and shouted: "France only with French", "Muslim people outside", "Everything is good in the pork" (a French expression to say that pork meat is good).

The demonstrators were members of "Rebeyne! Les jeunes identitaires français", an extreme-right organisation, gathering violent young nationalists in the region of Lyon. They want to defend "French identity threatened by standardization and massive immigration", they estimate to be "victim of segregation in [their] own country".

This action in an "hallal" fast-food was really symbolic, as the restaurant was one of the eight Quick restaurants serving "halal" food. Quick is a French chain of fast-food whiwh decided in February 2010 to open "halal" restaurants. The initiative sparked off emotion and debate, several people considering that it was discrimination against non-muslim people and an attack on French secularism.
