Fire-raising in the entrance hall of a house for xenophobic reasons
In mid-May 2009, two young men, aged 17 and 20, lit a pram in the entrance hall of a house, where mainly migrant families live. Several Iraqi family members managed to escape from the fire; three Iraqi children were rescued by fire fighters and received in-patient treatment. The 17 year old perpetrator, who had been involved in previous right-wing acts, confessed to the police and admitted ‘a certain aversion towards foreigners’.
