In the area of Thebes a local Greek resident allegedly fired rifle shots while shouting “this is Greece!” against a group of Afghan agricultural workers returning home at the end of a working day. One Afghan worker was injured and recovered at the local Thebes hospital. They all live in a neighborhood where many Pakistan and Afghan workers live too.  After the incident Pakistani and Afghan residents formed a gathered, directed towards the house of the Greek man. The local police force arrested five persons (two Pakistan and two Afghan citizens and the Greek perpetrator).
