A publication for children entitled “Entliczek, pentliczek, czyli polskie wyliczanki”, published in 2009, triggered extensive protests. The book included xenophobic rhymes, such as ‘Zero, once, twice – Germans have lice’, ‘Where are you going Gypsy? Eeeny, miney, moe – to buy some kids, you know?’, or ‘Moses went to fetch some water, and caught a goat by the hair, the goat got him by the sidelocks and asked him if he’s from here!’. After protests, the book was removed from store shelves.
