Integration guideline for Upper Austria

In April 2008, the federal province of Upper Austria presented its integration guideline. It was developed by many different actors like representatives of public authorities, university, NGOs and migrant organisations. The publication "Einbeziehen statt Einordnen" defines four principles guiding integration: living diversity, guaranteeing participation, strengthening cohesion and taking collective responsibility. It specifies the concept of integration and describes the process leading to the final guideline. Strategic measures as well as recommendations for concrete measures in various areas like education, employment, housing, health and social services are given.
