Two men, aged 29 and 33, assaulted a 21-year-old Iranian asylum seeker at a reception centre in the town of Kemi in northern Finland on the evening of 29.6.2009. Police say the men entered the refugee reception centre and assaulted the asylum seeker. The men were armed with a knife and a stick.

The same men are suspected of a separate incident earlier the same day, where an Afghan asylum seeker was assaulted on a beach and thrown into a lake at Takajärvi in Kemi.
