The Viennese Social-Democratic Party (SPÖ) started an initiative in cooperation with several NGOs to collect portraits of people ready to “show their face against racism”. The activity was started at the Donauinselfest on July 26th, 2009, which is organised by the Viennese SPÖ every year. 12,677 pictures of individuals were taken making their statement against racism and for tolerance. Photos can also be uploaded on the website of the initiative. In total 14,000 pictures were collected during the first three days of the initiative. In autumn a poster will be produced showing all the faces.
